Inflatable World Hornby — Local services in Christchurch

I guess this place is either losing money or they are to cheap to improve facilities. We went there on 15 December for my daughter's 8th birthday party. While the inflatables were really well laid out and fun for the kids it was just way to hot, my daughter was covered in sweat as were all the other kids some very flushed. They have just one big blower for the whole place and it stopped working many times. One of our friends had a baby and she had to have all her clothes removed as she was so hot, even us parents that did not join in were sweating. Really cool place but not worth the visit if your kids are under the age of 8. Brought our wee man and after several close calls in the "under 5s" area asked one of the staff about how strictly that's enforced and he responded "not really". After being asked again by someone else in our party he was a bit rude while telling us that only the tunnels and blocks are the under 5 area. It's open during the weekend normally but is open all week during the school holidays. I've hosted one kids party there and been to 2 other kids parties and even popped in on a stag doo once, never had a bad time at inflatable world. Parental supervision is absolutely necessary for the wee ones but it's safe to take them on any of the bouncy castles( even the tall ones if you have the nerve) .
