Set on a farm like area it has been around a long time think they started building it around late 60's. it offers a very unique experience of New Zealand’s technological past, and is close to the center of Christchurch and not far from the Airport. Well worth going if this type of thing is your cup of tea as a lot of work has been put in to make this an enjoyable experience. Even if your not into these things you can appreciate the hard work and life long ambition put into it. It has an on site cafe you can use even if you don't go into the museum, which is great if someone in your party doesn't want to go into the museum. The cafe is open to the public 5 days a week, Wednesday to Sundays. Offers barista coffee and plenty of fresh food well worth stopping for something to eat. Hard to find places that have had so much passion put into it the collection would never be able to be replaced now days or would cost a fortune.
