Verve Real Food Catering — Local services in South Island

We are blown away by the food we received for our wedding. We chose the shared platter style and there was SO much food and all so so delicious! Everyone was so well fed and tables even turned away some of the extra plates that were being offered. The food has been the highlight of the wedding and so many guests have asked me who the caterer was and raved about how incredible it all was. I believe in prioritising money towards keeping guests well fed and you will not go wrong with the platter style at Verve. No matter how beautiful your wedding is, if they are hungry then that is what they will remember! We had the slow cooked lamb, beef rib eye, bacon wrapped chicken, broccoli salad, potato dauphinoise and roast vege salad and it was a great combo if you are looking for recommendations. Go with Verve you will not regret it!...

We had verve catering for our wedding and I would not use them again We only had pizza and pasta salad and there was not enough of everything The staff serving were not very friendly and the food was outside with nothing to cover it so there were flys all over the food

Edit as per your response…. I’m not talking about the grazing table I am talking about the pizza and pasta that was left outside unattended, at times, for flies to graze on. We did not get any left over fruit salad or coulis. In regards to the salads, we were told there was nothing left of the Thai pasta salad from your serving staff. Absolutely, the food taste good but it was still disappointing especially, when we were told by your own staff that they couldn’t cook the pizza quick enough as they only had one oven despite us having to pay extra for them...

Amanda and I were impressed with how easy going Verve Real Food was to deal with. Always met with a friendly face and nothing too much to ask. Having you part of our big day was definitely a great choice, and meant we had one less thing to worry about.

The food - well what can we say but tasted great, and was more than enough for our wedding party without being excessive. The canapes were spot on, and kept our guests going whilst the wedding party was off being photographed. We opted for a buffet style service for mains as we didn't have a seating plan, and whilst this was served buffet style the food quality was much higher. The menu choices were wholesome and tasty, and no complaints from the guests.
