Beautiful old place. Such a shame that they can't sort the earthquake strengthening out so it can be viewed by the public or opened as a B&B. Like govt house in Rotorua...it needs to be brought back and preserved. Personal feelings about this is...if it's survived every earthquake since construction....hasn't it proved it's quality of design and endurance. So sad such beautiful buildings lie empty and unloved 💕. There ought to be something like the UK National Trust to ensure preservation and enjoyment of NZ landmark buildings.
