Good carpark with ample space before the entry onto the track. If you need a break from the sun, Waterfall Gully offers some shade and respite. There you will find a nice path that winds through with boardwalks and a few steps. Keep an eye on an eel that likes to appear in the stream and can be sited from the little bridge. It’s an easy walk, with footwear cleaning stations and predator gates to enter the bush. You can continue up to the viewing platform, for probably another 5 minutes. On the way to the carpark, there is also a beach with...

Never knew this place existed, what a fantastic way for us to be able to see native birds in their natural habit. Its an absolute privilege that anyone can visit this spot, so please take care of it. Follow all instructions when entering to protect the environment and take any rubbish back with you. We saw wood pigeons, Tui birds and fantails on our short walk its absolutely amazing! The waterfall would have to be the Icing...

An awesome place to spend a day. A small waterfall is a major feature here. The water flow is less in summers, hence it is better after a rain. Nevertheless a beautiful place altogether. Ideal for camping and a day out with family. Ample parking as well. Certain area marked as Armed Forces areas are to be avoided though.

A serene walk, peaceful amongst native trees and bush, to a small waterfall and set in beautiful surroundings. Plus it is well worth the trip as wood pigeons live there and with some luck you can see them up close. Just don’t come with a dog and don’t be noisy, and you might see one sitting just right next to the path. Good luck!
