I have stayed here in the past for business as its close proximity to my head office in East Tamaki appeals. It is very clean and well maintained and has comfortable beds with some good food outlets (Subway) and restaurants (Namiste) just out the door. However Im giving it an average this time because nobody informed me that major construction is going on outside. Now while it isn’t going on outside business hours it does create an inconvenience with access, parking etc. enough that if I had known I would have chosen to stay up the road (20mins) at the Sebel which is 5 star and similarly priced. In addition there was some noise from internal works evidently from contractors trying to find a leak in the building in the room right next door to mine (119). The contractors (nice guys) also asked to come in to inspect my room for said leak for 5 minutes. What was annoying about this was when I checked in I mentioned that Hotels.com had said I was due an upgrade as a VIP guest. Reception although pleasant told I’d got the room at such a good rate they couldn’t do the upgrade. I’m thinking why? Is the hotel fully booked- pretty sure it’s not and that wasn’t the reason given. Is it my fault I got a good deal? Isn’t that between you (Quest) and Hotels.com who must be putting a lot of rooms your way,?Ive never had that as an issue in hundreds of other hotels booked thru Hotels.com before. Oh except once when the hotel was genuinely at full occupancy. So I’m back up in October and thinking maybe I’ll just go back...
Read moreQuest Highbrook is a nice property, it’s an A grade AirBnb … yes Bed quality is outstanding and 5 star and breakfast is absent. But I won’t recommend for short time visits. Especially to arrive on a weekend, importantly if you are first timer in Auckland and within that if you are an Asian and used to 5 star hotel services .. you will be in a shocking surprise ..||||I was welcomed by a text in a colleagues phone to collect my key from a safe box with a code …. Highbrook is a corporate / industrial part of Auckland and high is a concrete jungle with absolute absence of anything on weekend. If you arrive past 7 PM on a weekend night plan to go to bed fasting. There isn’t anything / anywhere where you can get somethjng. Once you are in the room, quality is good with full facilities of a serviced apartment.||||Property doesn’t have a gym, but adjacent to a 24/7 gym next door for a charge. Property doesn’t offer breakfast services and depend on a deli next door that works office hours you can order a breakfast for NZD 15 and you see what you get as I pasted a photo ( plus couple of bread slices. Cheese and bacon) small milk, juice tetrapacks. ||||It will cost NZD 200 but we also have four points hotel that does NZD 234 with breakfast. Gym||Services and actually people manning desks and helping.||||Property is good for long term stay. As it’s a serviced apartment. Question is at NZD 200 a day is it...
Read moreBooked for family visiting for the weekend. Rooms and all was good. Family had a really great stay. The wife and I came back before checkout to clean up and see if anything is left behind to pick up. Up until we checked out for them, they said the room was messy, it will take a long time to clean and we wont get our $300 bond. Since when we have to make the place spot clean. We came back cleaned up what we can and also dumped our rubbish in our own bought rubbish bags so it's easy for you guys to just dump. Wiped the table with our own detol wipes. Towels and all, all put together in one corner of the bathroom and beds just covered properly, easy to pull out to change. Just rinsed the plates and cutlery so easy to clean for them. Yes there was a few crumbs here and there on the floor but like leave a vacuum there then if you want us to clean clean clean the room. That ruined the buzz for a great stay. Glad the wife took a video before we left to show them. Also since when did this 300 dollar bond was added. Booked here last year september had no bond. Oh well it is your guys policy but if any one is booking here, pay bond in cash. You'll get it back once...
