Gondola - Summit Station — Attraction in Linwood-Central-Heathcote Community

The gondola ride itself was a great experience, and provided breathtaking views!

However, a slight disappointment was that we had booked our tickets online and in advance - when we got to the ticket office, we had to follow a lengthy queue and because of this, we did not go on the gondola ride during the time slot that we had selected during our booking! This was frustrating as we had to wait 1hr+ and ended up on the ride well past the time slot we had planned for 😕

A suggestion: please create separate lines for those who've booked tickets in advance, and those we haven't - this will definitely solve the problem of the lengthy lines and make the entire experience an...

Great place to visit. Bought tickets in Christchurch to include shuttle, however it is possible to use a bus from bus station too. Shuttle journey about 15 mins, runs hourly. The wait was fairly short to board Gondola as we went early. Peaceful journey up mountain to viewing station. Views amazing throughout. Cruise ship day, so great for the business. But did take a while to get on. Views were worth it though. Outstanding! Staff working the gondola were friendly and kind. Staff in the Cafe, I think we're just rushed and a bit stressed.
