This park/beach has almost everything you could ask for. Absolutely beautiful views. Nice calm shelly beach for the kids. A very cool stash of community toys for the kids to play with in the sand. We had my Mum with us, and before we went, I was worried about accessibility - however on arrival I was super impressed how the disabled parks are so close to the centre of things - it was a gentle very short walk for her to a park bench. The toilets are right there too and the playground has everything a kid could want, including a dual side by side flying fox. Perfect for families. The only thing that would have made it even more amazing is a wee coffee cart or shop - But not really necessary!.

I visited Kulim Park today and was disappointed to find that the restrooms were locked in the afternoon, around 2 PM. While they were accessible earlier in the morning, it was inconvenient to find them closed when we needed them. Considering that this is a park frequented by families, it doesn’t seem appropriate to lock the restrooms or conduct maintenance during the afternoon when many people are visiting. I hope the management will review the restroom access and ensure that facilities remain open throughout the day for all visitors.

Awesome place for the toddlers, primary and intermediate age kids with the added upgrade of a new park, Flying fox inground little bounce pads, bbq are plenty of space for the whole family. There is a bball court for the teens or bring the scooters and bikes for a lovely cruise along the waterfront boardwalk. or take the family for a walk. Great place 👌 there is toilet facilities here too.

I'd love to give it a 5 star, it has everything

But the elephant in the room is the obvious bog swamp vibe happening right in the heart of the park, I don't know anything about how to fix it so you don't sink to your knees in mucky gunky funk trying to access the park from a table without having to take a small hike around the cement footpaths, but it's definitely something that ruins the open space experience.

Oh, let's not forget the dog owners who let their nosey untrained dogs roam free, they're an accident waiting to happen, can't imagine they'd enjoy picking their babies fur from the teeth of another dog that had to get euthanized because of their useless...

There was a council employee who was writing down number plates of vehicles who were parked perfectly legally on a weekday midmorning. We were quite puzzled and disturbed as it seems to be something of a police state here in Tauranga. Everyone's behavior was perfectly fine, no noise, alcohol or anything else. Very bad publicity for Tauranga. Sad that NZ is becoming so full of busy bodies that no one can move without it being recorded somewhere. Apart from that a really nice spot on the shore of inner Tauranga Harbour but at this time there is limited parking due to a lot of...
