A nice landmark where you can take a picture with the Wellington sign. It’s located on the busy Highway 1. There is enough car parking for almost 8 medium sized vehicles on the road, and it’s free to park. The Wellington Airport runaway also just starts here so there will be plenty of planes and their noise. The spot is next to Evan’s Bay so it’s windy and slightly chilly as well.
