Did a three day ride on the Clutha gold - Day 1 going from Roxburgh Dam to Millers Flat - very scenic by the river and the trail is interesting with lots of turns and no straight boring sections, and completely flat. Day 2 was from Millers to Waitahuna - quite a big day and many might want to stop at Lawrence where there is a range of accommodation and food. The last few kms up to the first tunnel (Big Hill) is deceiving as it looks flat but is uphill, in case you wonder why it is hard work. Day 3 began with the best coffee on the trail at Waitahuna station. Two tunnels on the run to Milton, the first one is curved so no light at the end to guide you! From clearing the hills it’s a nice farmland run through Milton to Lake Waihola

Nice trail, better to start from Roxburgh, easy and pretty flat most of the time, nice views and historyc landmarks.

My bike almost joined a fence in the northern bike trails...just for the jazz mojo stirring up eastern butts

Waihola to Milton return. A lovely easy ride with great bridges and boardwalks. Good interpretation panels. A bit more direction into Milton could be useful. Stopped at the A&P grounds before doing the return we figured there wouldn't be much happening in Milton...

I rode from Roxburgh to Beaumont, made it from Roxburgh to Millers Flat in under 42 minutes. I slowed down after that and took another hour to get to Beaumont. Lovely trail, well maintained. Well worth having a walk or...
