We stopped here for a bit of lunch and we got the smoked chicken/cranberry quiche and the huge sausage roll to share The quiche was delicious and I could have smashed it myself …. The sausage roll on the other hand looked Amazing and was huge ..But huge isn’t always better because this monster had no flavour at all…It was incredibly bland and the pasty wasn’t that nice either It wasn’t a flaky pastry you get with your usual pie or sausage roll so I don’t recommend getting this .. Small room with own bathroom and hot drink making facilities. Very clean unit. For a $5 fee you can use laundry facilities. There is a shared room where you can do your laundry and make a basic meal with toaster and microwave. Price was very reasonable. The queen bed was very comfortable. Good heating in the room, with the bonus of a dehumidifier making the atmosphere comfortable. The attached cafe was great for hot food during the day and buying lunch to take on the cycle trail. The room was basic but clean and tidy, and had everything that we needed, so was happy in that respect. However, the service we received was terrible from both the cafe and from the manager of the accommodation, especially when the guests (us) were honest and trying to acknowledge the fault on our part. Thankfully, a trip to Lawrence is not a common occurrence so will not be needing accommodation any time soon, however if we were to stay there again, we will definitely be finding...
