Discovery Jet — Attraction in South Island

We thought we had missed the chance to go on a jet boat when before we found this spot! It's an amazing river, one of the most picturesque we found in New Zealand. We are so glad we went here rather than one of the big companies in Queenstown or the West Coast. It was one of the highlights of our trip. It was my first time on a Jet boat, and I loved it; awesome driver.

Sea sickness was not a problem as we were not rocking for very long, and most of the time, the boat was flat.

But it was cold, so I would recommend wearing a beanie, scarf, and a few layers, with the top one being a windbreaker or rain jacket, as there may be a small amount of water spray.

Fantastic! It was pretty spontaneous decision to get on the jet boat and explore Rakaia Gorge and it was well worth it. Blair was amazing guide and very accommodating when we asked to drop my uncle off to fish in the nice spot and pick him up later.Spectacular scenery made it incredible.
