4 hours North of Auckland. Delightful golden sand swimming beach. Safe community. There's a cafe store for large coffees, good cabinet food, ice creams and chips.

Also a great little choice for dinner is the Indian fusion food caravan on the Cable Bay beach front - get in early so you don't miss out.

And, 5 mins South, stop at the neighbouring Coopers Beach 'Beach Box' for great coffee and gluten free muffins - next to 4Square...
