I just wanted to post a review as I have suffered a concussion a month ago and at the time was home alone, and unable to drive, bedridden, anyways my friend who was in Auckland, knew I needed some food to keep me going, and me, being not one to bother anyone, and actually not even able to sort for myself at the time. Then bless… the lovely girl from TCBS drove to my home on her lunch break, and delivered to my door warm, yummy traditional kiwi kai & juices that lasted me for two days, honestly at the time this was a real lifeline & I am heart warmed and incredibly grateful as delivery is not a usual service I’m sure. Out of sheer appreciation I wanted to thank you all here & just let everyone else know, what an awesome crew you all are , and always so friendly too. Hand on heart beyond grateful I live in SUCH a Stella friendly...

Just wanted to try their Classic smash burger..GREAT DECISION!!! Fresh hot n juicy burger/patty. Worth every dollar!! Option to dbl the pattie, but in my case, it was not needed! The server had said "no plates/cutlery" when a customer before me asked for one so he could eat his food there. But in the next breath she offered him a takeaway box and some wooden cutlery. THANK YOU Girl for doing that. That lil extra to see you do for him-Really made it nice for me to see you offer a solution-Even as it started to get busier too you didn't just try hurry him off. Taking extra time to transfer his Kai from bags, into the box for him as well, instead of just handing him the box to DIY!! Thank you Burger maker lady 😊Lovely Kōrero came from both ladies in the time I was in store waiting with a YUMMY HOT Mocha x 5 STARS on...

Called in again for another occasional coffee and something to eat…on Saturday I decided to get a cheese scone. The lady put it in a bag and proceeded to make my coffee. I was having it there so I asked if she could warm it up for me. She yes but if you want butter on it that will cost an extra $1.00. My friend and I were shocked and said REALLY??? She said yes that’s what her boss has told her to charge. Well boss lady that’s pretty sad! Of all the places I’ve been to and got a scone or a muffin I have always been asked if I want it heated and given one or two small packs of butter and a knife or have been able to help myself to one. Also the person had made a hash of either cutting or buttering as it was all broken up and wasn’t a good look!!! This was against my expectations so won’t rush...

This place is one of the best fish and chip shops I have been to in the past few days on my holiday. The food is cheap and most are what you'd expect to get for the price, but others are just golden. The Cheezy Weezy and Loaded Wedges are quite a bit more for what you would expect them to be, but it is definitely worth the money. Wait times are a bit long during the afternoon but it is worth it. The fish is a bit overcooked as how I would usually prefer, but it's only $5.50 a piece so it's definitely worth the price. The workers are also very friendly, with a bit of banter with the other workers, but apart from that this place is amazing.

Delicious coffee and shelf bakery items. The store also sells many other nick-knacks and condiments from soap to lollies and of course world famous in New Zealand, TipTop ice cream šŸ¦. A great stopover point as you head up North or Down South from Northland. The location across Coopers Beach/Cable Bay with ample parking is the highlight. Grab and coffee, croissant 🄐, ice cream and hop across the street to the beach. I was greeted with soft waves tumbling over the golden sand accompanied by local feathered friends and a small history lesson on Cable Bay and how it's name came about.

Dropped in to try the famous ice creams & not disappointed - variety of cones to select from to waffle to waffle with chocolate or sprinkles. Then choose your flavour - at least 16 (most standard but a couple of different flavours) then how many scoops (generous size). The shop also had a variety of ready to eat food eg quiches & lovely looking fresh salads, before your cook to order options. Tables outside to sit, & across the road is the Beach park with amazing views. Lots of on street parking, & a place to swim. Give them a try.
