Cable Bay Stays - Golden Sand and Driftwood Beach Front Accommodation — Hotel in Te Hiku Community

Long overdue review sorry Brian and Rosemary :) We were lucky enough to stay at the Cabana at this beautiful location for our mini honeymoon and it really felt like you were in the middle of nowhere most of the time and that there was no one else around despite the fact you are on the main road!

The cabana is so beautiful and clean and bright and very well set up, you have everything you need in here including a lovely view of the beach.

The only small wee tiny downside is sometimes cars park right outside your main window and at odd times but thats because part of the grass area is open to the public and also the owners park their cars here as well although not often, as they try to park further down the bank, so that is the only thing that will be slightly slightly negative.

The owners are really lovely and make check in and check out so simple and easy as well and the welcome sign was a really nice touch.

Rosemary - We had absolutely NO IDEA what you did for us when we arrived and we werent sure who organised what was left for us and to find out it was you just touched our hearts THANK YOU ROSEMARY for that beautiful thought on our special holiday :) Also we accidently packed one of your books with our stuff and hubby packed your hand towel holder Sorry! We will send these back to you ASAP we also left our fishing rods and tackle box behind but to save you guys any extra hassle please just keep it for other guests or yourselves our loss your gain!

The biggest highlight of our trip was the fact that we were allowed to bring our dog with us, it just made our time away that much more special!

We loved our stay at Cable Bay Stays! We stayed for one night in Cockle Cottage, a beautifully decorated 60s beach-house themed cabin, as a stopping point between Auckland and Cape Reinga. Driving parallel to the beach to get to the property's parking is definitely a view we won't forget! The property had all the amenities we needed for our stay and would definitely be great for a week or longer too, the cottage had a modern kitchenette, a private bathroom and a spacious living and bedroom space. The cottage was very clean, and the owners had turned on the lights and left a greeting on the door before our arrival which we thought was a lovely touch especially as we arrived after dark. We stayed in the winter but the heating was perfect in the house and the sea views were still stunning despite the colder temperatures. Absolutely amazing location and place!||We stayed in Red Phoenix apartment infornt of he beach with family. Rosemary & Brian welcome us with warm smile. You can feel this is a family place that has been nurtured with love. Location is stunning, right at the door step of beautiful golden sand beach, very private with a little kids park right near. We have been very lucky that a family member Marsia brought her ponies for a beach walk and let the children to ride on them and brush them. My son loved that :) there is also an amazing icecream just 5 minutes by walk with Fish & chips shop. Place is very peacful, water is warm and calm and we can't wait for coming back again, thank you for such a holidays spirit...
