Onetangi Beach — Attraction in Waiheke

I visited Onetangi Beach in 2013, and it was a fantastic experience! The beach is long and perfect for a leisurely walk along the shore. The sand is soft, and the water is clear and refreshing. I enjoyed a bit of body surfing and boogie boarding thanks to the swell coming in. The temperature was just right for a summer swim.

One of the best parts about Onetangi Beach is that it's a bit out of the way, so it's not as crowded as some other beaches. This makes it a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. The scenery is stunning, with beautiful views of the coastline and the surrounding hills.

Overall, Onetangi Beach is a wonderful destination for a day of sun, sand, and surf. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting...

Must be one of New Zealand's best beaches, sandy, generally very safe with seldom any undertows or rips, occassionly northerly winds can whip up the waves but if swimmers and beaches goers stay aware this would have to be one of the safest beaches as well. Beautiful walk from one end to the other, some really nice stones scattered around. Three very good restaurants plus a first class ice cream shop, so if staying close by or just visiting for the day you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the same location, with an ice cream and or coffee etc. in...

Onetangi Beach is the best beach on Waiheke Island.

My husband and I have been there twice and we couldn’t stop thinking about the tranquility and peacefulness of this fantastic beach.

We love collecting shells to make paper weight for our family and friends. The shells there are extremely beautiful.
