Te Waha Point Lookout — Attraction in Waitākere Ranges

The Laird Thomson track to Te Waha point lookout from north of piha car park is closed due to a slip taking out part of the track at the very start of the walk. So I carried on to the Rose track trailhead car park and walked that track as it takes you to Whites beach, but it also links onto the Laird Thomson track to Te Waha point lookout. It's roughly a 30-minute walk from the car park to lookout it's all downhill, so be prepared to walk back up to car park. Spectacular views on...

Stunning. Can do a hike from along the beach, up through the rainforest, to this point. There are a few seats along get east. Or else there is another hike down. You get a stunning view across two beaches and then the ocean straight out in front of you. There is also a seat at the lookout where you can watch the world go by or the sun set or rise....

Not a bad spot to view a sunset. Also pretty awesome to use ropes to climb down a cliff to White's Beach. Definitely a work out for the...
