Bothamley Park — Attraction in Wellington

Bothamley Park is a Park'n'Run place with a wide pathway [ Windley Street ] running beside the Kenepuru Stream tributary. This is sandwiched between the suburbs of Cannons Creek and Aotea in Porirua. Contains a wide range of trees. Great place for walking, running and cycling.

In fact, there is a weekly timed run that happens every Saturday. It is a free event. Need to register beforehand though. Look up parkrun.co.nz

Area set aside by Council for fruiting plants. There are apple, Pear, plum and Walnut trees in this area. Most are young trees but there are two older apple trees that fruit well. Also large area of blackberries with tracks cut through to make access easier. Normally blackberry fruits can be picked...

Great spot for a walk, jog or to take the dog for a run. A lot of rubbish in the stream unfortunately but it doesn’t seem to deter the bird life. Great Porirua asset with a few wetlands reestablishing along parts of the walkway. Plenty of parking and family...
