Rangiātea Church is a Māori Anglican church located in Ōtaki, in the Kāpiti Coast District on the North Island of New Zealand. The original church was completed in 1851. On 7 October 1995, inspired by racial tensions, the church was destroyed by arson.

My partner and I (both tauiwi) visited this church on the last Sunday of Advent while doing a quick weekend retreat/getaway up on the coast. We were greeted by a cat at the door--and subsequently welcomed and made to feel at home by all at the service. Beautiful preaching, liturgy, and singing.
