Cafe Sixty Six — Restaurant in Wellington

Been here before and usually really nice food, however I just ordered two take away toasted sandwiches which were meant to be cheese, onion and pineapple. There was no pineapple in either of them, there was not a lot of onion and there appeared to be a mayonnaise base sauce on the bread which I definitely did not ask for, which turned the bread soggy. All I could taste was mainly cheese but both sandwiches did not have the flavor you would normally expect. It also appeared the cook was in a hurry as the tops of the sandwiches look liked were literally thrown on top of the base and not much care or love was even put in presentation wise. I had to throw them both out in the end as they were not pleasant to eat due to lack of flavor. Disappointed as was really looking...

I recently shared time with a friend at this cafe and had a great hot chocolate. Today I went back to try some food and wow ! I enjoyed the best vegetarian sandwich I've ever had from a cafe, delicious and so fresh. I also took away some savoury scones, equally as delicious ! We have just moved to Otaki so I was pleased to be offered to join the loyalty scheme, I will be a regular for sure !! Thank you for the great food and customer...

Came home to Otaki for a couple of weeks. Had seen the cafe in passing a few weeks prior. I had seen a post about the coconut buns on the local Otaki page. I had to try them 😁 Delicious!
