Curry Town — Restaurant in Wellington

Found the service absolutely disgusting the disrespect that we got from the 2 old Indian guys, firstly paid for 3 butter chicken and rice and 4 garlic and cheese naan bread sat down at the dine in tables with my 2 sons poured drinks into the glasses that were on the tables happily waiting in this time my partner come in to join us then the disrespect started one old man come from the back kitchen went to counter stated as he walked past that we did not pay for dine in 🤨 My mum had walked in at this stage then asked what was the extra price to dine in ?? They couldn’t give my mother a straight price there were 3 men behind the counter and all said different prices😂. So my mother proceeded to get us up out of the dine in seats that we happily been sitting at for the past 40mins. Never dine-in here! We booked a table for 7:30 pm and were seated immediately when we arrived. It then took 30 minutes before somebody came to take an order, and that was only because I intercepted passing staff, twice, to say that we wanted to order. Then it took another 50 minutes for food to arrive. My elderly dad was in quite a state by that point. The restaurant was packed when we arrived and remained packed as it turned out all the other tables also hadn't been served yet. I assumed people were just chatting after their meals as they'd been there when we arrived, but I was shocked to see several tables only get their meals just before we did, meaning that they must have been there around an hour and a half or more. It appeared that takeaway customers were being prioritised. When we have this feedback to the manager, he just kept repeating that "we don't take that long". My partner and I were keen to try a new place and from the reviews it looked promising, but were highly disappointed after purchasing the satay chicken and chicken mushroom dish. The chicken mushroom dish made us both feel I'll had almost no chicken and no flavour, we could not eat it. Satay chicken was dry and the size of an entire, even tho the first word of the satay chicken says tender. We spoke to the owner and excuses we're made instead of an apology. Been offered a refund or an apology would have been nice. We will never return. We realise it is an Indian restaurant but if they have international food on their menu and can't cook them, why are they there?
