HeliServices.NZ Haast — Attraction in West Coast

Great value for money. Highlight of our NZ holiday. We had an amazing experience with Haast Heli. Staff were all extremely professional, they planned a great flight up the coast line landing on the beach and flying in land back over the river. Scott’s knowledge was incredible, gave us a local in sight to this stunning area, pointing out landmarks and wildlife. We saw dolphins, seals and penguins. Scotts expertise in flying ensured that we always felt comfortable and safe. The coast line from the air is AMAZING!!! My partner was very anxious of flying in a helicopter both Scott and Sheri reassured him that if at any time he was uncomfortable being in the air that they will return and land the helicopter immediately. He loved the flight and is very keen to do it again. Great value for money. We can highly recommend to anyone wanting not wanting to just be a number on the more commercial flight like what we saw at the glaciers. The day we were originally booked to fly, the weather was not suitable for flying but the staff went out of their way to try to reschedule us to another day/time that was suitable. The service was fantastic from beginning to end. Then when we did get up there the experience was awesome and one I would definitely recommend - we did the Grand Tour of Mt Cook, Mt Tasman, Franz Josef Glacier, Fos Glacier and Tasman Glacier. The day/time we ended up flying was clear so we had a fantastic view for miles. It’s like another world up there and if you do the snow landing you will realise how vast it actually is. First time helicopter flight, so a little nervous. Nothing to be worried about as every interaction with any team member was personable but professional. They take it seriously & for that I am thankful & grateful. The experience - not to be missed! One of the greatest things my wife & I have ever done.
