The name of this reserve reflects the original name of the street it is on, Avondale Road East, or 'East Dale'. It is at the base of the Rosebank Peninsula, and next to the Avondale School campus. There are five sports fields used for athletics, cricket and football. A playground, basketball hoop, fitness equipment, and large open spaces provide more recreational opportunities for the whole family. A looped perimeter path provides access to the playground, toilet, changing rooms, picnic tables, benches, and a barbecue. Established trees around the border of the reserve provide shelter in winter and shade in summer. Large events often take place at the reserve. Access the car park from Eastdale Road. Pedestrians can also access from Rosebank Road. The nearest bus stop is outside 224a...
