Of the beaches we've visited while staying in San Juan del Sur, this is one we liked the least (sorry!). It just felt sort of neglected and abandoned. The beach itself was fine, nice sand but we didn't get in the water. There is a canal that leads into the beach - not connected (yet) but guessing it would drain into the ocean in rainy season. And those canals are a bit nasty. There were two restaurants, one was closing as we arrived. This is low tourist season so maybe that is why it felt sort of desolate. We walked along the beach and back, it's a mix of houses, hotels and restaurants - some of which had people, some of which looked completely abandoned. There is a great little restaurant right on the beach if you forget your cooler, try the Dragon fruit smoothie!! You can even meet the local crocodile, Paco and his girlfriend Juanita! Las olas son tranquilas, no contiene corrientes de agua, ideal para visitar y bañar en familia o solo. Los primeros 40-50 metros de distancia no tiene mucha profundidad, lo que la hace ideal para nadar sin temor.
Me encantó la vista que tiene al atardecer; al igual que las personas son bastante amables.
Es una playa no concurrida, ideal si te gusta la privacidad y el disfrutar del tiempo a solas o con familia.
No pagas ningún peaje para entrar, es totalmente abierto. Contiene lugares para consumir alimentos y descansar bajo el sol o en la sombra.
