Jhalobia Recreation Park and Gardens is on Muritala Mohammed International Airport Road, Lagos. It is situated between the Hajj Camp and Ajao Estate. The two-acre park is a tapestry of beautiful and functional garden features such as the ever-green lawns, walk ways, topiaries of different shapes, sculpture, water falls, fountains, ponds, rock gardens, gazebos of different sizes of exotic trees, palms and flowers, it also has a children’s play ground equipped with play toys. The park is known for its expansive space for guests and it beauty. The recreation park provides the ideal setting for superb white weddings, nikai, traditional, registry or engagements. Jhalobia is also suitable for picnics, product launches, school visits, religious retreats, anniversaries, quiet time with nature and a perfect location for movie and musical shoots. It has a stunning environment which brings a unique atmosphere to your events. Jhalobia Recreation Park, has a perfect setting for your parties, with enough space for up to two thousand five hundred (2500) guests. I discovered this garden which happened to be close to my house, after being disappointed by the pre arranged venue I was to use for my daughter's birthday. I was so distraught, disoriented and frustrated with the previous venue's disappointment that I was such a mess.. I had to start redirecting my guests who already made it to the previous venue and calling everyone to change venue, it was awful. But the team at Jhalobia park turned things around very quickly.. They were very kind, extremely helpful, catered to my tight budget and gave the kids the BEST TIME ever! I was so overwhelmed with the love that even this review is not enough to express how grateful I am. Though the park is pretty close to the road, the wedding I attended here was great! It was a small wedding so the open space fit perfectly for the guests (at most 100 people).

The park has toilets, a parking lot but no visible signage to see from the major road so you may have to drive slowly to not miss it like I did 😄. I don’t recall seeing park benches so if you’re in the area for a picnic or get together, you might want to come with blankets or foldable chairs.
