Surrounding review The compound was spacious, can park more than 20cars. Hotel still looks very good from the outside. The swimming pool is also outside and it looks very good. It has a bar for drinks and other chops. The poolside is always quiet and I love it. Clean and well maintained and sizeable also...
Reception review I love the reception area. Looks very modern and nice. Receptionists look very smart and professional also.
Inside view of the hotel review The hotel looks great and clean. Well designed and looks like an hotel that was built not too long ago. Maintenance is really good. It's a 2 stories building but doesn't have a lift, which I found surprising. So may not be comfortable for disabled people with wheelchairs. The walkways on every floor is neat and looks good.. the doors are beautifully crafted with very fine brown woods with a fancy stuffs beside each door that Carrie's the room numbers. Stair cases and walkways have nice artworks on the wall which further makes the whole place look very good
Room review I lodged in the deluxe room. I must give their interior decorators a thumbs up. They did a very remarkable job on the room design. Beautifully designed with same very fine brown woods and some piece of artworks on the walls. The room was a bit spacious atleast for 2 people. Very comfortable bed with clean sheets and duvets. Nice desk and a very comfortable office chair assigned to it. Also comes with another comfortable chair and a small centre table for eating. It also comes with view which I really like. The room also comes with a small fridge and a safe and a fairly spacious wardrobe. Also available is a tea set. With electric kettle and tea mugs with complementary tea, milk and milk. 2 drinking glasses also available in the room. Complementary water is a very small kid size bottle water. They should improve on that if they really want to give complementary water. The AC was really functional and effective. The tv is also good size of around 40inch. With about 7 to 10 channels to choose from. The room was very clean and neat. Thumbs up to the cleaners. For complementary breakfast, it's just for one person and its served in the room. The only thing they mostly have is bread, eggs and sausage with tea. It gets tiring after few days. The wifi was fast and just for one device which wasn't cool at all. How can you give one device access to a room with two people. It doesn't make sense at all. I even pleaded with the reception to give me atleast 2 device access but they refused. Totally wrong.
Bathroom and toilet review The bathroom was clean and neat with complementary tooth brush, shower caps, shower gel, body lotion shampoo, hair clips, shaving stick and shaving cream all branded which is really remarkable for the class of hotel. The toilet was beautifully designed also. I specifically requested for a room with bath tub cos I like soaking myself in it sometimes. Got to find out later in the day that the bathtub sink cover was spoilt so it became almost useless to me all through. It also doesn't come with a hand shower so may not be very appealing to women. The water pressure was very good. The water heater was also good too. Atleast there was always hot water to bath all through my stay. The bathing facilities are getting a bit too old and may need some maintenance but it's still okay.

My intial impression of this place was great the room I stayed was clean and decorated in a very modern fashion. However within a few hours I realized that the staff members were extremely lazy and incompetent.
Pros: great location, clean rooms and very comfortable bed.
Cons: pretty much everything else
1.Although the rooms appear clean I noticed the cleaners do not actually disinfect anything they use rags to wipe down the place 🤢
2.The hallway smells awful. Like wet mold and dirty water( no ventilation. And also no dehumidifier) The service has to be the absolute worst I have ever experienced in my life from any establishment Bring your own disposable cups because you will never get a clean one here. At some point during my stay I was asked to wash my coffee cup in the bathroom. I also witnessed a worker doing this when I requested a clean cup. Don't bother ordering food from this place because it will take at least an hour to arrive and when it does it will definitely be COLD! they have guest put dirty plates on the floor outside their rooms till it's picked up, I've seen plates their for hours! 7.the towels they give you is covered with hair from other guest 🤢 I brought my own! 8.the tv has about 5 channels and they often remove the ones showing African films but never the Indian ones 🤦♀️ The staff sleep on the floor in the bar and the reception staffs sleep under their desk ( this speaks to the unprofessionalism displayed by the workers. They are not taken care of. That's probably why they give guest hell!) Even though I stayed here for over a month most of the staff members refused to heat up any outside food for me! I requested a room upgrade and never got one!
I hope you love bread and egg because that's all you'll be eating, Unless it's Thursday or Tuesday. Get this, if you choose yam and egg on these days they will tell you it doesn't come with a drink! But it you order the bread and egg you get a drink!😂
Forget about parking this hotel will prioritize folks going to their bar. My driver had to park outside the gate on evenings and weekends. These people are stingy with TOILET PAPER! I asked for an extra roll because I asked the cleaners not to clean my room while I was out and they refused. I bought my own pack that day.
My bathroom shower door did not close any nobody cared to try to fix it. ANTS EVERYWHERE!! I PICKED ONE OUT OF MY EAR! none of the staff members will ever ask you if you need anything.You'll be lucky if you get a smile out on them. I can only think of 3 people here that was kind to me. Don't order goat meat you will receive goat skin

I read your response and think it's important to shed more light on my comment. Hotel business requires good customer service relation. As I mentioned to the 2 ladies and the front desk manager, I have been patronizing your hotel for about 11 years. If you checked your records, you will see that I have stayed there many times. The staff then were very polite and professional. Please check your records to confirm.
My experience last week can be summed up in a single sentence- very proud, arrogant and rude front manager! That's the best description for the young man in the front desk. I will explain this in few words- The two ladies explained to me the challenges with the online booking and that unless I canceled it, it may be difficult for me to be checked in. I was there for over one hour trying to resolve the issue. Then I told them that I will pay while they put on hold the initial booking to acoid double payment. By this, the account will be reconcile before i checked out the next morning. It seems they were not very clear about this and needed a higher authority. Then they invited the young man. He was just there looking until I asked him over about 10 minutes of him standing and starring at me without a word. Then I asked him if he was the manager we are expecting to help. He said yes. Then I explained to him so politely and that I am willing to pay but that the initial booking should be on hold. I showed him all the correspondence with my colleague in Paris who already paid for my stay including taxi to the airport the next day. He read all the email but insisted that I can only be checked in if I pay for the same booking. I was there for additional 30 minutes trying reach my colleague who was unfortunately airborne. Then I asked him if doesn't want me to stay in the hotel. I was shocked to hear him replied that I can go to anywhere i liked, it's your choice.
I have stayed in many hotels across the world. That was the first time I met someone like that. In my view, he lacked courtesy and the qualities of a good front desk manager. I called Golden Tulip immediately in his presence. The Manager asked if they can send me the driver to pick me up immediately. I declined because I was with my driver. As usual, Golden Tulip gave me a nice treatment and apologized to me for the way I was treated in your hotel.
My sincere advice is that you should please find a way to train and retrain your staff. Particularly, the young man.
