Do not visit. I repeat! A complete waste of time and token. Nothing really there. Completed the whole visit within 20minutes. Nothing extraordinary and fascinating. In fact, a secondary school museum is far better than that place. I'm even suggesting that the place should never be called a museum or simply closed down! No original traditional artefacts there.

The national museum, cited close to the Ooni of Ife's palace holds a number of rich historical artefacts about the life and traditions of not only the people of Ife, but the Yoruba race as a whole to a large extent.
