Vannkanten Waterworld — Attraction in Bergen

Sadly leaving 2 stars. Place has potential but management needs to really improve. The slides are fun and probably not many places in Bergen offer this. But I doubt I ll consider this for a north party. For my kid’s birthday they didn’t let us light the candles which we brought with the cake. The candles were not the firecracker kind but simple candles. And I don’t mind if they have some policy, but it should have been informed before. The kids were not offered any ice cream which I had paid for in the package. They only shared after I reminded them, at which point a lot of kids had left already. I requested them to make an announcement in English which they said they would but they didn’t. The hot dogs which they served were cold from inside. Hardly few were eaten and everybody ate Pizza which I bought from place next door. I had requested no pork for some portions for which they promised fries but those were never served. Overall it was quite a struggle for me as party host to manage everything. They should have one person managing the party with the host. Hope the management takes notice and take...

I am going to vannkanten over a month, usually I go to relax section and there is overall good. But sadly I can not say the same about badeland 1etg. to much overgrowed on weekends - 2 baywatches for about 200 people, this do not meet safety regulations. blue shoes - there are no blue shoes in 1etg. I saw many people with fungus on feet, so ugly. many dusj not working at all, dusj near sauna in 1etg not working long time. In this conditions many people even do not go to dusj and jump straight to pool. This is unexceptionable! not clean - specially 1etg lots of dust balls everywhere (in shelfs, over shelfs, ventilation stuck with dust) I am strongly doubted if chlorine quantity in the pool is according hygiene regulations.

Vannkanten has been my local waterworld for as long as I can remember. (I'm 26) And throughout the years, they have added more slides and activities to an already fun experience. It is not too big, situated on the roof of a mall (Vestkanten) but still has a decent kiddie pool, shallow and deep waters, a diving board, bubble bath, an outside area, and a total of 6 slides and a climbin wall. (If you count the tiny slide in the kiddie pool).
