Peppes Pizza - Vestkanten — Restaurant in Bergen

We have been there now twice. But never again. A couple weeks ago we wanted to get some nice pizza after swimming at Vannkanten. It was reasonable busy, but there were still 4 tables empty. But even though most people were already eating it was quite clear that at 4 tables people were waiting for the pizza to be made. (At this place you need to order at the bar, while that is not a Peppes policy). I went to the bar to order, and there was one woman in front me waiting too. We waited at least 5 minutes before they finally took our orders. After a bit of waiting, I noticed, that 2 families left because they had waited to long for their ordered pizzas to be done. The women who had ordered just before me still hadn't gotten their pizza yet while 2 other newer couples already were eating. When we gotten our pizza, it was quite soggy, so eating without fork and knife was impossible. But there was no cutlery except for spoons, and when I asked for it, we had to wait for another 3-4 minutes, making our pizza cold.

Last weekend we went swimming again. We ended up really hungry, so we choose to try Peppes Vannkanten again, as it was almost empty. There were only 3 couple and 2 families. 1 couple and 1 family was already eating. There were 6 people in the kitchen/bar. So we assumed it would go okay this time. NOT! When I went to the bar to order, a women from one couple and a mother from the family were in front of me to order. They were both clearly annoyed about how long they had to wait to order. The staff was just walking around, cleaning tables chatting, tidying menu carts. And after about 4-5 minutes finally one went to take the order of the first women (which went slow). By then the dad of the family came over, and told the mother they were going somewhere else. He shouted into the kitchen "You just lost another costumer!". A person came out of the kitchen and saw this family of 6 leaving and saw there where by now 5 people in line to order. She asked her coworker "Did they just left without ordering". "Yes" was the reply, and the person went back to chatting with her other co-workers without considering taking the orders of the 5 waiting people. Then I decided to leave and never return. And clearly so did 3...

Var her på en søndag 1 time etter de åpnet og det er totalt kaos. Personalet er lite imøtekommende , uorganisert og burde apsolutt fått mer opplæring. Lurer på om det er ingen skiftleder som styrer skift her? Greit at unge folk jobber her de må få en sjans de også, men hallo det er elendig på kundeservice og viser ingen interesse for kunder. Vi var stor familie som bestilte pizzabuffet! De lagde to pizza,måtte gå og spørre om de skal lage flere?! Når det er pizzabuffet så forventer man at det er nok mat for alle og flere pizza å velge! Maten kom veldig seint, ungene var utålmodig! Vi fikk ikke brus! Flere kunder kom og klaget da de ikke fikk det de bestilte! Pizzakanten var svidd, kylling pizza så ikke ut og smakte dårlig! Ingen hvitløkdressing ved salat disken! Ingen ketchup! Når eg spurte hvor er ketchup sier han ved kassen vi er tom! Hallo ingen beklager vi er tom, ingen smil ved ankomsten ! Ingen takk ved betalingen! Helt sykt her kommer vi ikke igjen! Hvilken pizzarestaurant er tom for ketchup?!!! Dette går ikke an! De kunne ha kjøpt ketchup i matbutikken det var åpent! Her kommer vi ikke tilbake! 😡...

The Vegan pizza "Oh my garden" is great. They also has different options that are vegetarian. The atmosphere is cozy. I didn't like the service so well, it was my wife birthday, we asked for a song from them and they said NO. But they gave us birthday hat as compensation.
