A delightful visit for all ages! This aquarium is a true gem — beautifully designed, educational, and full of life. The seal and otter exhibits were absolutely the highlight of our visit. Watching them swim, play, and interact was both fascinating and heartwarming.

The staff clearly care deeply about the animals and are happy to share information about their behavior, habitat, and conservation. The enclosures are clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged to resemble natural environments.

Perfect for families, couples, or solo visitors — whether you’re an animal lover or just looking for a fun and relaxing day. I left with a smile on my face and a greater appreciation for marine wildlife. Highly...

Enjoyed the visit very much. Information presented on all the aquatic life is excellent. I loved the cross sections of the aquatic animals with explanations. Good variety of mussels, fish, starfish, lobster, scallops, sea cucumbers, anemone. Outside the cafeteria, there is a small shed at the end of the pier. Strongly recommend going into the shed and try out the Virtual Reality headsets. It was amazing!!! See the whole salmon lifecycle as if you were in a real tour. If I had time, I would have watched it again a 2nd time. At the end, you are above a salmon ship and if you look down, you are floating above...

Lofotakvariet is a charming and educational stop in Lofoten, especially great for families. The highlight for us was the otter feeding—so fun to watch the playful otters interact with the keeper, who shared interesting facts and clearly cared for them. The aquarium features Arctic marine life in well-kept displays, including cod, halibut, and wolf fish. Though the facility isn’t large, it’s well-organized and informative, offering a great look into the region’s marine environment and fishing history. There’s also a small café with sea views, perfect for a relaxing break. A delightful visit...

Although small, the aquarium is nice and is located on a beautiful place; we had the luck of being there on a sunny and relatively warm summer day and could enjoy being outside. The seals and the otter are lovely and I strongly recommend to plan the visit for ond of the times they are fed, since this is the best part. The kids loved it! We also purchased tickets with access to the Lofoten Museum nearby which is a good thing to do to get to know more about the region.

I personally think the enclosures for the seals and otters are a bit small, but the animals were cute and active so I did have a lovely visit. This is a very small aquarium, and since I was there under covid it was really quiet as well, so I don't know if it gets overcrowded normally, but seeing as it's small it doesn't take a lot for it to get overcrowded. Especially around feeding times.
