Restaurant Nyvågar — Restaurant in Vågan

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! And I explain the case; we went first to another restaurant which just happened to close due to the late evening time but from there the owner of the restaurant did a phone call to this restaurant (Nyvágar) asking if they could serve to us in case we go there, and they accepted, in spite we had a little distance to drive until Nyvágar and it already was the time also for them to close. When we arrived we were the only customers there (they were there just waiting for us) and they did receive us in a super kind and hospitable way like never I found anywhere else, we had super charming and attentive service from all the staff! Thank you so much! If this all is not enough ...lovely restaurant decoration, house and location... very afforadable price and high quality food! A must to stop by when visiting Lofoten!...

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed to find a menu with several dishes on the website, but then only one set menu was offered on site. Two of us only ate the appetizer and the main course, but we had to pay for a 3-course menu for all 4 people, which is absolutely outrageous. The drinks we wanted to order were out of stock, and overall, the price-performance ratio was absolutely not justified. Paying €150 for two people for a potato soup and a small piece of fish is unfortunately not justifiable. Very, very...

Excellent cousine! Fish was superb (fresh, tasty) and the presentation 👍. I liked especially the mixture of cold and warm (starter), which gives you the feeling that fish is catched only few minutes before dinner from the icy sea. And the seeweed, what an excellent taste!

Service was good. And the atmosphere in the restaurant cosy and you feel wellcomed.
