Amazing hike, but be aware it's 45 minutes each way. Other reviewers mentioned the hike was 45 minutes and I had assumed that was round-trip. You also need to allot about 30-40 minutes for swimming to the cave and back. I arrived around 9 and ended up leaving around 12. The hike isn't marked which can be confusing if you've never been there and don't know where you're going. Essentially as long as you follow the wadi you'll be fine. The hike is beautiful, the water is clear and a gorgeous blue/green. The cave is stunning but the gap you have to pass through is extremely narrow. I didn't have an issue with it, but other hikers opted to not go in. I opted to swim without shoes and everything was fine but just about everyone else had water shoes or swam with trainers. Also, I followed the GPS to the location on the map and it took me to a completely random place. I would not follow this location. Go to the location marked wadi shab parking. Also, go early as on my way back there were A LOT of people. Arriving around 7 or 8 would...

Fairly straightforward hike, a bit of walking and swimming. Make sure to wear waterproof shoes, a waterproof bag to keep your belongings, water and snacks.

You can rent a boat for 1 rial and lifejacket for 1 rial at the entrance. Make sure to come early around 7-8am, to enjoy a leisurely hike with just a handful of people. After 9am that there’s just so many people + the parking lot gets completely packed.

The hike starts with a quick boat ride across the river, then 45 min walk along the dry wadi, then it’s about 5-10 min of swimming, till you reach the entrance to the cave.

During the swim there are some places to walk but it’s very slippery so be cautious and take your time. The entrance to the cave might look daunting as it’s really tiny but it’s well worth making it through to see the waterfall...

Wadi Shab is an absolute gem for nature lovers and adventure seekers! The hike through the stunning valley is both scenic and enjoyable, with breathtaking views of the rugged cliffs and lush greenery. The trail is well-marked, making it easy to navigate. After a rewarding hike, you’re treated to the best part—swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the wadi. The refreshing pools and hidden caves are an incredible way to cool off and explore. It's the perfect blend of hiking and swimming, making Wadi Shab an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone...
