Watch out your steps as these could be slippery, follow the arrow marks on the stones to stay on right path.
There are series of pool one after another, we could only reach till first pool after 15mins walk as we had to return back by 5pm to get to the car. As the bot ride closes by 5pm.
Plan to reach early before noon so that you can reach to other pools.Pack some meal and some water as you won’t find anything in the wadi.
If you don’t know swimming, take a life jacket along and the wadis can be very deep. Don’t risk it!

Read moreThe wadi can be reached from the coastal road by first taking a 5min boat (1 OMR return/person) crossing the river, and then walking 20-30minutes through the canyon. Mind that on holidays and weekends this place gets really crowded, or at least till the first pool and cave. If you want you can walk further along the edge of the canyon after the first pool (right hand side, ignore the signs "dangerous, do not go further"). The path is narrow, but perfectly feasible. After a while you will be all alone, and have great views of the canyon. As for the cave and waterfall: there is a small waterfall (~1m), and a fake one (from a tube) on the path towards the first pool. so not really impressive compared...
