If you are planning to go by yourself, avoid being there at 10am to 2 pm especially on summer because it is too hot and barely you will fine a shade.. the best time to go is before 8 am or after 3 pm. You will need a waterproof bag, a waterproof shoes, snacks and plenty of water, and a camera or a waterproof case for your phone. You will need to walk around 45 minutes to reach the cave. If you are not a good swimmer or you are not fit to swim for a long distance take a life vest. You can do cliff diving in the cave and at the beggining of wadi shab fresh water. Read moreSimply stunning. 1rial each (return trip) to cross the water by boat before the hike starts. Quite an easy 30 to 40 minute hike over some rocks up the gorge to the start of the pools (follow the big black water pipes and some red arrows on the rocks).
Fresh water, crystal clear and beautiful. We left our bag on the rocks along with many others and swam up to the caves. I would advise to wear some shoes in the water as you do have to walk on some stones half way up where the water is very shallow. You do need to swim through parts so unless you are a good swimmer, waterproof cases are advisable for bags or electrical items.
