Not worth it — uncut grass, worn-out equipment, and random overcharging. Model Town Park is a way better option.
So, we went to Nawaz Sharref Park, and overall, it’s okay if you just want a place to sit and hang out. But there were a few things that really put me off.
First of all, the grass wasn’t properly cut. In a few patches, yeah sure, it was done, but most of the areas had long, messy grass that clearly hadn’t been taken care of. It gives off that neglected vibe straight away.
Then there were the tables and the park stuff the slides, swings, etc. Many of them were just damaged or poorly maintained. Like, they were usable, but not really taken care of.
Now here’s the part that really made no sense they were charging Rs.50 per person just for entry, which I can still live with. But what got me was that they were also charging Rs.50 for parking a bike. Like, come on. That’s more than what we usually pay even in proper city areas — the bike stand we use when going for our papers only charges Rs.30. So yeah, that just felt like unnecessary overcharging for no reason.
These are small things, but they add up. So yeah not recommended from my side. If you really want a chill place, just go to Model Town Park instead. It’s right nearby and honestly 3x better...
