HUGE!!!! Offers something for every economic level from pharmacy and grocery store to every day clothing, toys, electronics, luggage, high end make-up, tons of options of food, theater....and then an area for very posh expensive shopping as well. Definitely wear comfortable shoes and know if you likely shopping you can pretty much get lost in here and spend all day very easily....There is also an attached hotel and on the other side you can find the bus terminal and the metro station. Albrook mall does have it's own vetted cab service and the vehicles are in good condition though not very well identified (you have to really look for their drivers' shirts to identify them). They could do a better job of letting tourist know this fact....maybe a centrally situated office where one could go and request a cab and have them meet you at a specified entrance/exit .... if this were possible, they might find that their cab service gets more use and less people would be calling Uber so much. Maybe they could put a logo on the cabs they use...something to identify them more easily....and post signs at each entrance/exit informing people of the service. All and all.....you can find anything you might need or want in this mall and then some. Be forewarned, finding parking is quite a nightmare at times even though they have quite a large...
Read moreThe largest mall in the country and supposedly in all of latin america. Their website claims to house over seven hundred stores, mostly middle tier. I counted an astounding four food courts. That is something I have never seen before in any other mall. Even the pickiest eater will find a place to eat here.
I would consider this to be the most practical mall. They always have everything I am looking for. Even if you cannot find something at a small store, chances are you may find it in one of the several large department stores. Of all the malls in the city, this feels like the most family-friendly of all. Kids will appreciate the carousel and electric cart trains that travel up and down the corridors.
The north end is the busy part where apparently fifty thousand people visit per day. Twenty five percent of those being foreigners. But the south end gets very quiet. You will feel the drop in activity. Good thing is that toward the very end you will find the walls decked with large displays of magnificent art made by local artists.
Parallel to the mall is the national transportation hub with access to virtually all parts of the country via bus. It also houses a small...
Read moreA very large mall with over 500 stores!!! We ensured to arrive early to get a full days shopping and man did our feet hurt. I believe this is the 2nd largest mall in the American and when I tell you it has stores of every single type, electronics, clothing and merchandise, salons, 2 huge food court and the list goes on. You will not walk the entire Mall in a day and to be honest you feel like you're in a maze sometimes. It has a couole branded stores like Bath & Body Works, Victoria Secret, Old Navy, Zara, Kenneth Cole and some other well trafficked stores such as Conway and El Costco. With the reviews I saw online I expected more from El Costco but to each his own I guess. More bathroom should have been included as the one by the lower level food court cannot carry the traffic. It is smelly, dirty, out of paper and hurt overall messy. As soon as the cleaners tidy within minutes it's nasty again. The mall opens at 19am and closes at 8 pm and we got there at 1:30am and left at 6:34; our feet could no more. Noteworthy is that the mall as several entrances all animal denominated; we entered thoroughly the tiger and left via the elephant. Do check them out and see...
