The staff was ON POINT. Super friendly service all around from the wonderful front desk ladies to the maids to the bartenders to the concierge to the bellhops to the servers to the guys working on the ceiling in the hallway. They couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating...literally everyone I had any kind of contact with was fantastic. Kudos! Hotel itself was kitted out like a standard Marriott, which is actually a great thing in this context. Nice rooftop pool with cool views. My first room smelled very musty, so I changed to another room that was fine on the same floor. To be fair the humidity in Panamá is outrageous, so I'm sure it's a monumental challenge to avoid that dreaded mildew smell. I had one small visitor: a super cute, tiny gecko in the bathroom that I only saw once, LOL. He didn't bother me, I didn't bother him. In any event, my second room was fine. The location was pretty far from the downtown and Casco Antiguo, but Uber rides are so cheap it didn't really matter (between $4 and $6 one way). One advantage is that the hotel is connected to the Albrook Mall, which is HUGE and has everything you could ever need. I'm serious, there is no way you couldn't find whatever you were looking for from food to clothes to drugstores to banking...etc. Food at the hotel breakfast was only okay in my experience, but again, the people working there made up for it in spades. Good choice for a traveler who wants to know what to expect in terms of their accommodations. Would stay there again just because of the phenomenal service I received from staff. Can't say enough about how great they were.

I was here for a gala event to celebrate the 109th anniversary of the Panama Canal; I didn't stay overnight. This event was organized by SAMAAP (the foundation that supports and provides consulting services to the "West Indian Museum" of Panama). Note: During the Canal's construction days (1904-1914), a very large number of folks migrated from the West Indies (Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad-Tobago, St. Andres, etc) to work on that massive endeavor-- including my grandfathers. And, at its conclusion, a certain portion stayed to work for the US Government in its operation, and in constructing and maintening communities, military bases, and administration offices. Both of my grandfathers (one from Jamaica and other from Barbados) stayed and they married ladies from Jamaica; my parents and their offsprings were born here; thus, I am a proud third-generation descendant of "those valiant and resourceful diggers and builders of the Panama Canal", as per the construction chief engineer, Col. George Gotthels, words to the US president Theodore Roosevelt when he visited the in-progress construction work. The US Army's Corp of Engineers was in charge of this project.

We've stayed here before and everything was top-notch then. First off, I would have like to have known that the hotel was booked for the Panama Ironman competition. The place was crowded and noisy. Don't get me wrong, it's good for Panama, Marriott and its workers. But I would not have made reservations had I known. One elevator was out of service, leaving two to accommodate everyone. Yeah, packing the elevators with these folks carrying their bicycles became awkward. Our room was clean and fresh, yet there were some deficiencies. A couple of lights in the bathroom were either out or intermittent. And the coffee maker would start but never put out a cup of coffee. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, 10/10, whether you spoke Spanish or English. For the price we paid, I would expect everything to be near perfect. TIP: Request a room on the airport side. It's actually quieter than the street side.

This property has a number of positives but also some negatives. Overall, it is not a true Marriott 5 star hotel. I would give it a 4 star rating.||Positives:|-- The hotel has a good location next to a large mall.|-- The staff is very friendly and tries hard.|-- The rooms are clean.|-- The hotel has all the basic facilities of a business hotel.||Negatives:|-- The breakfast had limited offerings. Yes, the selection was far more than a Marriott budget property (such as a USA Fairfield Inn). Yes, the breakfast included an omelet station (the lady chef at the station was outstanding!). However, the general selection was far less than many basic Marriott international properties. On a side note, the basic bread options each morning were incredibly dry which leads me to think the bread might have been frozen; the bread was certainly not fresh from either the kitchen or a nearby bakery.|-- The MClub was a disappointment. The room was small, poorly staffed, and the food options were almost non-existent. By the way, this is the situation of almost every Marriott branded hotel in Panama (with the notable exception being the JW Marriott Panama).|-- My room was freezing cold! I set the temperature at 74 but my clock thermometer indicated the room was actually at 65. The heat option must not work. When I switched the temperature control to heat there was no difference. Eventually, I just turned the system off which helped a little bit. (I checked with a friend who stayed at this property another time and this person had the same experience with the air conditioning system.)|-- The fitness center was ok with decent equipment that was a bit out of date. To give an example, the fitness center had 4 (older) working treadmills. But the center piece on the treadmills (where you place your cell phone to make a video call or watch a show) was either broken or completely gone on all 4 treadmills! ||Please do not misunderstand me. The property is decent; a solid Marriott 4 star. I might even stay here again. But the reason I wrote so much on the negatives is that the excellent review ratings on the property had me expecting more. I would have appreciated knowing what I just shared in order to curb my...

This is a good mid range Marriott in Panama City, attached to the Albrook Mall,|less than 30 mins from airport and maybe 15 mins to Casco Veija and the Canal.|Rooms were good size and better than the pics on line. King bed was pretty comfortable, room on 8th floor but overlooked the regional airport. No mini bar, but ice machine on floor together with cold water and room service available. They also had a small convenience shop downstairs where you could buy soda and snacks and take back to the room. |Did not bother including breakfast in the booking. There is a small breakfast place attached to the hotel and the mall, Cafe Met, where they serve good breakfasts, pastries and coffee. Much cheaper than the restaurants in the hotel. I believe Cafe Met is actually part of the hotel.|We arrived late the first night and ate in the main restaurant in the hotel, Canal Bistro. it was OK. But we ate out all the other nights. There is also a nice bar down stairs. We did not use this, however.|Front desk was helpful as was the concierge with recommendations for restaurants and things to see. They have a tour desk in lobby, that offers competitive tours for the city, canal, museums, Casco Veija, marina and surrounding areas, plus transport to the airport. |Stayed here for 3 nights as stopover on way to Costa Rica. Nothing to do in the immediate area, other than the mall and regional airport, but much cheaper to stay here and to use cabs from hotel to get where we wanted to go, than stay close to the attractions. Good hotels in the tourist areas and business district are very expensive. |All in all, good place to stay if you don't mind being out of the main...

We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Panama, and it truly exceeded our expectations! One of the best parts is its direct access to Albrook Mall — super convenient for shopping, dining, or just enjoying a stroll indoors without needing to venture far.||From the moment we arrived, the staff was absolutely fabulous, with a special shoutout to Diana, who went above and beyond throughout our visit. Her warmth, professionalism, and local knowledge made a huge difference. She even helped us celebrate a family member’s birthday with a beautiful cake and a heartfelt celebratory speech — a truly memorable touch that meant a lot to all of us.||Breakfast was a treat every morning. The buffet was well-stocked with a wide variety of options, including gluten-free selections, and there were chefs on hand to prepare custom egg dishes just the way we liked them. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, always checking in to ensure everything was perfect.||The members lounge was another highlight—always stocked with snacks, a wide selection of beverages, and a great coffee/cocoa machine that became our go-to throughout the day. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge.||Diana and other team members were incredibly helpful in recommending excellent local restaurants and explaining how to navigate the city and its top tourist attractions. The hotel’s location also made it easy to access many of Panama City’s must-see sites without much hassle.||We will definitely be back. This hotel is a fantastic home base for exploring Panama—comfortable, convenient, and staffed by genuinely caring professionals who make you feel like family.||Highly...
