This was probably one of the best things to do in Boquete after a thrilling zip line adventure. I got to explore different species of bees and butterflies. I learned things I never knew before. And on top of it all I got to try 34 different kinds if honey in a honey tasting. This was bizarre but also eye opening for me. Some if the honey are 100 percent natural with no additives and still taste different with unique flavors. One thing that you must ask to try in the little angels. The smallest bees in the world make about only a liter per year of this special naturally fermenting honey which taste exquisite. After I was able to buy some of my favorites like the Caramel bear honey, or this middle eastern spiced one. The staff was also amazing, they genuinely enjoy the work they do and are excited to share about it. They can give tours in English and fully explain it clearly. This is a must is it place if you...
Read moreI can thoroughly recommend the 2.5 hour VIP tour, which we did on a rainy afternoon. Quetzal, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about bees and butterflies and his tour kept our three kids (ranging 6 to nearly 13) interested throughout! The eldest isn't a fan of honey, but was happily tasting the different honeys after the tour (and said he was looking forward to the tasting!) and loved one of them so much he wanted to buy a jar to take home. All kids are saying this was one of the best things we have done in Panama and we have had a great time so far, so that says it all. As an aside we were waiting for our tour when we ran into several older people on the previous tour which was just finishing and they said how much they had enjoyed the tour and that it was really worth it, so this shows it is an experienced for all ages! It was...
Read moreI had been on the honey tour a couple of years ago and today I went with my husband because he is a true nature enthusiast. We are both aware of the need to have bees on the planet and have dozens of trees and bushes to attract bees on our Panama property.
My first visit was great. There was a Panamanian woman who guided the tour and she was excellent. The trip today was just as awful as the first one was good. I had made a reservation a couple of weeks ago and when we arrived the owner escorted us to a yoga class that was being held. She knew nothing of our reservation, even though it was written in their reservation ledger. She managed to find a worker to be our guide. He was very nice, but did not speak English and as we speak little Spanish the communication was minimal. All in all, it was a very...
