Feuillet Park — Attraction in Panamá Oeste

This park is home to the busiest bus stop in town. Every type of bus stops here to pick up and drop off passengers. The area is replete with vendors selling small items, mostly food. It's a small place, about the size of a basketball court. And it will get crowded and noisy like a basketball game.

Dear Americans, the reviews are not nice to this place. Many have to do with that fact that some people misinterpret the word "park." For some reason, they expected this park to be like New York City's Central Park. Well, this ain't no Central Park. However, believe it or not, it is more than that. According to an online source, this park is "El pulmón de La Chorrera" - the lungs of La Chorrera. And it really is. This is the spot where the most passengers embark and disembark. Some leaving, some entering to start their endeavors. If you hang around for just five minutes, you will witness the life that this place represents. Stand by the southern end where the buses are. Notice the buses pull up, the staff walk out and into the crowd to start announcing their destinations. People react and enter the bus. As mundane as that may seem, these folks are performing a valuable job moving people from place to place.

Back in the day, this park used to be a place for public reunions where the attendees would learn about local and world news. That's not the case anymore. Nowadays, it's mostly a park that serves as a bus stop as well as a meeting point...

Not a park, instead a dirty, noisy and crowded place. It's a place for bus stops and flea market. People do all kind of business even preaching on the place. It's not a family place nor a place worth visiting.
