I recently visited this museum and was truly captivated by the breathtaking surroundings both inside and outside the facility although, my experience inside the museum was somewhat tainted by the behavior by one of the security personnel and I had a partner with me, and together we aimed to explore thoroughly, as one often does in museums and Regrettably, the guard seemed rather impatient and repeatedly inquired about when we were planning to leave. This left us feeling somewhat rushed and uncomfortable during our visit
To add to our discomfort, the guard also gave us what seemed like disapproving looks as if we were overstaying our welcome. It was quite disheartening, as we were genuinely interested in the museum's offerings and hoped to enjoy a leisurely visit But still In spite of this, the museum itself is undoubtedly a gem, both in terms of its location and the treasures it houses. The place was nicely planned. It was fenced with live big tress, and in front of the museum is a lake(? or a river). Peace and artistly designed.
The tour guide was really brilliant. he speaks calmly; not so fast but not so slow. His manner in talking shows that he really knows what his doing. He spoke of facts based on their written history, archaeological finds, geological records, and society.
The paintings are really great. but, it was only painted by few people. It did not cater other artists - local artists (painters).

The interior has a similar feel to Cebu's national museum; Sugbo Meseo. And a bit of the National Museum of Fine Arts. Galleries are also distinguished by plain colored walls to compliment the artifacts or art pieces.
I liked the introduction done by the museum host when we visited; of it's importance to the city, the province and the whole of Mindanao.
