Tuna Republik Butuan — Restaurant in Butuan

TERRIBLE SERVICE. My ride was supposed to arrive in 20 min. I had some time and found their place nearby our meeting place.

I ordered tuna sashimi since i assumed it would be quick since there was no need to cook it. To really make sure, I asked the cashier if it will be ready in 10 min she told me yes. More than 20 min have passed my order was still not ready despite me constantly reminding them. I asked for a manager to get a refund, they could not get him or her on the spot. The place was not even full. I dont know WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG. Its literally cutting a raw piece of fish. I left my order because my time was up. NOT...

Its my second time here. If you might be wondering why my review is posted now it is because the first time I went here, they were closed. They were sold out that time so I guess you should keep that in mind if you plan to visit this place to avoid dismay. I love tuna so I am quite particular on how restaurants prepare it. Both their grilled tuna belly and kinilaw were great but a little salty for me. Still, I enjoyed it. Compared to other local food joints that serve kinilaw, theirs is better since it is more tuna...

During my first time in Butuan, I was able to try Tuna Republik. It's located in the middle of the city and easy to find. They have great quality of tuna dishes that made me crave more tuna.

They offer local dishes at an affordable price. What I like about them is that even with a small budget, you can already taste great quality of good food in Butuan. Tuna is mainly famous in General Santos City but I must admit tuna in Butuan is just relatively as good.
