The centuries-old Spanish church in Lazi is both declared as a national cultural treasure and a national cultural landmark. One of the few dozen churches to receive such distinction here in the Philippines. To get an upclosed moment to such a gem is an experience in itself.
The front side of the church provides a simple yet very unique design with its striking "bahay-na-bato" look consisting of a lower half made of coral stones and an upper part made of wood. Its adjacent bell tower (made mostly of coral stones) blends its own unique look with a rectangular lower base and a circular upper part.

It was my job's hectic type of schedule that makes it point zero on each time I am around with these one of a kind places. But I planned that on my next touch down would be different. Unlike other churches I've been to, San Isidro Labrador church has few statues of saints and less adornment..maybe i guess it is to keep up with the antiquity of the place. A good vantage point just across the street with the church as your background will leave a good remembrance of the place. A worm-perspective shot will likewise make a good memory of the place.
