I absolutely love Art Informal.
First, the space itself sets the tone for well curated shows. The different rooms allow an intimate connection not only with the artworks, but also with collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Second, the exhibit openings are always warm and welcoming. When I first started out in art, it was hard for me to get comfortable in the art world, especially since I was relatively younger compared to most that attend art shows. However, Art Informal gave me an avenue to connect with the finest collectors and artists the Philippines has to offer.
Third, the history of Art Informal shows that it is more than just a gallery. Art Informal first opened up as a school, which allowed artists - who are now some of the most established filipino artists - to impart their knowledge on students. Today, Art Informal continues to pioneer Philippine Art scene through shows locally and abroad.
Most importantly, the people behind Art Informal are nothing short of amazing. Since the beginning, the staff members of AI have welcomed me with open arms, which, as a young collector then, was very reassuring.
