it's just like any other local airport that's almost off the grid. A lot of people pass by here but because the airport is small they have to massively move people towards the gates.

weather dependent. most flight will be cancelled due to bad weather. there will be people outside for transportation to other parts specially if it's not chartered.

hope that below situation will not happen to anyone again. my story on bad staff handling:

on departure gate, when everyone was lined up already in 2 rows i was at the right row. 1st airport staff at the front of the my line said not to show anymore id's. so i only had my ticket.

2nd staff of the left late in the middle stopped me and said to take out my id. this made me hold the line while i take my id out which made the 1st staff in the front to tell me not to take my id out and move forward. so i did.

the 2nd staff then stopped me again and insistently told me again to take out my id. so now im confused and the 2nd staff gave me attitude like i did not listen to what she said. so i stopped and started to take my id out again only for the 1st staff to state 'no need id mam'

i got fed up and stopped moving and asked a bit louder so both girls can hear me 'do you guys want need me id or not? because you (pointing at the 1st staff) tell me to not give my id, but you (pointing at the 2nd staff) keep on stopping me when she (1st staff) told me not to look for my id anymore. so what am i suppose to do now?'

another girl went behind me to help the people's tickets. she asked the 1st staff 'needs an id or not?' 2nd staff told me to get my id out. so i just finally decided to give my id. i told her to pls get these information correctly next time. your staff is not on the same page and that's why we keep on getting delayed for simple domestic flights.

i finally gave my ticket and id to then 1st staff. she said 'no need for id' and handed back my if. i turned around to the 2nd staff holding up the line and announced 'ate, she did not even look at my id, get your story straight next time.' and left to ride the bus that transports us to...

The Caticlan Airport was nothing short of a disaster. Upon arrival, the weather was already unpleasant—overcast and far from warm. Yet, instead of providing a comfortable environment, the airport decided to crank up the air conditioning and fans, chilling the entire terminal to an icy 16 degrees Celsius. It was absolutely freezing, and while some passengers and children visibly tried to endure the cold, others were clearly miserable. Those who had brought sweaters or jackets hastily put them on, shivering as they did so. Many, however, were dressed in just T-shirts and shorts, completely unprepared for the Arctic conditions. Children trembled from the cold, yet it seemed to matter little to the airport operators, who made no effort to adjust the temperature. It was a horrendous experience, and I strongly advise anyone flying out of this airport to bring a heavy jacket or sweater—you’ll definitely need it.

Then came the "boarding" process, which is nothing short of chaotic and inefficient—a recurring theme at this airport. Passengers are herded onto buses and then left to wait for anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour, sitting in the cramped space. I suspect this is because the waiting area inside the terminal is perpetually overcrowded, with nowhere near enough seating for everyone. Instead of addressing this issue, the airport simply shifts the problem onto the buses, forcing passengers to endure yet another uncomfortable wait. The entire process is a masterclass in disorganization and poor planning, something you rarely encounter elsewhere. In summary, this airport is a nightmare, and I would strongly recommend avoiding it if at...

Godofredo P. Ramos Airport, often referred to as Caticlan or Boracay Airport, is the preferred entry point for travelers heading to Boracay Island due to its proximity. Despite being a smaller facility, it efficiently manages daily flights from major Philippine cities such as Manila, Cebu, and Clark, offering a shorter travel time to the island compared to Kalibo Airport.

Travelers frequently mention the ease of getting from the airport to Boracay, with transfers to the Caticlan Jetty Port being quick and straightforward. The airport staff generally provide good service, though some visitors point out the limited seating and minimal food options inside the terminal. During busy periods, like holidays or peak tourist seasons, you may experience longer waits for baggage handling or security checks, and the terminal can feel overcrowded.

Additionally, the airport offers free Wi-Fi, and its small size makes it relatively easy to navigate. However, it does not operate 24/7, and amenities like shops and restaurants are limite. The security procedures before entering the departure area can be more stringent, requiring passengers to remove electronics and accessories for screening.

Overall, Godofredo P. Ramos Airport is praised for its convenience and time-saving benefits, though there are areas where improvements, such as expanded facilities, could enhance the...

It’s ok if you have plenty of patience. Arrivals is fairly fast plus it’s in a completely different area to departures and basically just accepts passengers to collect their bags. Tip: take a tricycle from Arrivals to the jetty if you can, as it’s actually faster and cheaper. Departures terminal is fairly well organized given the sheer number of people crammed into it, which can cause it to be pretty warm. Ticketing area is very cramped. There’s a few shops after security, including a Starbucks plus two C/Rs. WiFi is poor/non-existent and cell phone service very weak. Basically you’ll have no communication unless the terminal is less than half full, which eases the connection burden of everyone trying at once. Buses are required out to the area where the planes wait to load after unloading. The buses are well organized getting everyone over to their flight, umbrellas are provided if it is raining, as the stairs are not covered. My feeling is that for some small investment particularly in WiFi/cell services they could make this a better experience for passengers. In fact there is an awarded development project to substantially improve the facilities by 2027/8, awarded to national developer SMC, so there is hope of substantial improvement to this tourist gateway to Boracay, in future years.
