I am not a fun of Zoo, though I appreciate its educational value most specially to kids. This zoo in the heart of Malaybalay City has the right numbers of animals for the size of its zoo. Though I think some of the birds needs a larger cage for them to fly freely. There is a canteen upon entry, and the number of visitors is being controlled. Watchmen are everywhere, please observe the rules. They provide orientation at the gazebo before you can roam around the zoo. It's totally free, one trick is that. If you are not familiar with Malaybalay once you are near, always ask the people around about the entrance because it's kinda hard to find on our case. Rest room and parking is great! Horse back riding near the exit of the zoo is a must and it's cheap, just 30...

A must visit attraction near Kaamulan Park Area where it houses a collection of birds (both endemic and farm-raise), reptiles, and mammals. Entrance Fee is FREE (opens from 9am to 11am, then 1pm to 5pm) Admission would require vaccination card and log-in to their guestbooks For now it is still open despite alert level 3 restrictions here in the province.

Area/Service : area is clean and well maintained. It follows separate one entrance and one exit policy. Although no health checks are done at the gate area. Less people are coming maybe due to the restrictions but it is absolutely perfect for kids. Surely they will enjoy the tour especially around the different birds and the talking cockatoo. Endemic species are also displayed which is also a highlight...

NO ENTRANCE FEE! Absolutely free. You will be greeted by warm-spirited guards at the entrance and receive a short orientation before going near the animals. If you want to know some information about the contained species, you can find them around the cages. They are printed on tarpaulins. Landscape is really cool, and you can find benches to rest on just in case your knees wear out from strolling. It's a small zoo, but it takes care of its animal really well.

I am especially entertained by that one speaking parrot. Haha. And having around the zoo an entertainment park for kids, a forest of pines, a snack bar, and an affordable horseback riding opportunity makes it a multiple catch from a hit with a...
