Visited Bolasi Beach on a Tuesday evening. The tell tale sign was that no one was sitting on the bamboo and concrete seats dotting the site. The lady we asked said that concrete seats are 250 for a couple of hours while the kubo was 600 and 1,200 the whole day. Was like... Wtf?! Why the exorbitant rates on a slow day? Not that we're jurips (or are we?) but we are used to the free seats of Agoo Ecopark, Suso Beach in Sta Maria Ilocos Sur and Lucap Beach in Alaminos. The place was clean and has that faint Boracay feel about the place. The place wasn't that brightly lit which is suitable for sky/star gazing. Not sure if we want to go back to that place because of the "Taga" experience. Chatting or texting with the barangay or accommodation owners directly beforehand can keep you from being taken advantage of. Motorcycles can enter the beach premises but cars can aren't allowed inside and can only park before the beach entrance. There's kayak rental for 300 per hour and banana boat ride. If you don't want to feel swindled, bring your own chairs and...
Read moreI visited Bolasi Beach with hopes of enjoying its natural charm, but unfortunately, the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. The beach has potential—with its long stretch of shoreline and local vibes—but it’s clearly lacking proper maintenance.
Scattered rubbish and litter were visible in many areas, and it was disappointing to see that dog feces were not being cleaned up. This made walking along the sand uncomfortable and, honestly, a bit unsafe—especially for families with kids. It seems there is no regular cleanup or clear effort from local authorities or visitors to keep the place clean.
If you’re visiting, be prepared for a less-than-pristine beach experience. It could be so much better if proper waste disposal, enforcement, and community involvement were prioritized. Bolasi Beach has promise, but right now it needs serious attention and care to make it enjoyable and safe...
Read moreAfter giving thanks to Apo Manaoag, this is only 40 mins drive. If you are 'maarte' this is not a suitable beach for you. I like the astounding long shoreline wherein they preserve the distance from the community itself. Sand is dark but very fine and not that coarse/rocky. Perfect sunset view❣The community was design as their means of livelihood. Stay inns, transients, or kubos are available everywhere. All necessities are available but a little pricy. We did walkins for our accommodation rather than doing it online. So we got to chose and select the best. Shout out to kuya...
