Good morning guys, Last Sunday evening we went to Baclaran's Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the weather was wet. But our devotion to her is irreplaceable, it's worth it even during pandemic, people who are patiently cueing at the gate. Protocols are being followed deligently or else you have to buy the ppe's. Solemnly we 🙏 prayed of whatever needs or anything to her glorious shrine. The photos attached were inside the church and as you can see and feel guys the serenity. Someone also knelt down walking towards her holy shrine. I can't help it reminiscing the past of my departed wife, every Wednesday we met outside the church before the six o'clock mass where the big old tree stands up to this time. As I came out of PAL Gate-1 at 1630h, immediately I'll take the jeepney towards Baclaran, then walk all the way to the back of the church where the tree's standing (landmark), then the waiting starts. She was coming from Moonwalk Las Piñas, at 1700h she starts her journey towards Baclaran. I hope guys you enjoyed a little trivia of my experiences on this holy shrine, that all devotees from all walks of life merged. Thanks and God 🙏 bless us all in this pandemonic times. Mabalos

POETRY IN STONE. GEOMETRY IN ALL ITS SPLENDOR. This church was obviously not built during the Spanish Colonial Period, but it nonetheless exudes in grandiosity. There are no frescoes or any paintings on its walls or ceiling. Perhaps the only hint of actual paint is on the confessional, and of course on the brilliant colors of the altar. The pillars, the ceiling, the very walls of the church are of the color of the stone by which they were made. The church is bereft of any artwork but the architectural design - with its resplendent use of geometry - is in itself a BRILLIANT AND SPECTACULAR WORK OF ART! THE CEILING IS A MASTER PIECE IN GEOMETRY! This building - beyond the call to the faithful and the demand to worship, praise and prayer - will perhaps be much more appreciated by an architect or an engineer, or a student of both or either. But even I am neither. And yet, inspite of my heavy background in the humanities, I am still awed by the magnificence of this church's architecture. I am usually partial to Spanish-Era church architecture, but this National Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a wonderful exception.

This is a perfect place to pray and just be in a silent place to think. To the side of the shrine is its office where one can request for petitions, or have masses held with special intentions. Drop boxes are also situated around the shrine to encourage devotees and visitors to donate for the Redemptorists' continuing mission of helping the poor and marginalized. Car parking is at the back of the shrine; ask the guards how to get there. There is an old bike rack near the shrine office. When I visited, shrine rector Fr. Victorino Cueto, C.S.s.R. announced in a 5:30pm mass that the old practice of going around the sacristy or going near or to the icon is now allowed and permitted again after three years. Expect heavy foot traffic during Wednesdays and Sundays, as novena Masses are held during this time, especially during the first Wednesday of the month.

15APR2022 5 STAR 8:33am We're able to park easily. It's the 4th Church for our Visita Iglesia 2022. It was quick because there were few visitors at that time. After 26mins we took off for the church. 13APR2022 5STAR The LRT1 extension is currently on going, the whole stretch of Redemptorist Road is close. The entrance/exit on this side is accessible only by foot. The church is now open POST PANDEMIC 💯% capacity is allowed. The last mass every Wednesday start at 6pm-6:30pm. Parking is infront along Roxas Boulevard. Restroom is open til 6pm only 25JUL2019 5STAR The part of Roxas boulevard infront of the church is no longer traffic. The vendors are now limited inside the sidewalk. Previous review I come here every Wednesday when my schedule permits. I love the church its not grandiose but you can feel some sort of peacefulness.

Known for their Wednesday devotional novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Baclaran Church is one of the most popular Catholic Church in Metro Manila. The church is often filled with faithfuls praying as individuals, as couples or as a family. They all have their prayer intentions. You may light a candle for your intention, or touch an image of Jesus or kneel down to plead. I went to Baclaran Church to confess. They have regular confessions 3pm to 5pm on regular days. On Wednesdays the confessions is 2pm to 7pm. It is a busy Church with plenty of devotion and faith. The church is accessible via lrt Baclaran station or jeepney. I recommend taking caution against thieves and scammers going to the Church as well as while praying inside the Church.
