In 1986 the people of Philippines demonstrated and rallied along EDSA to end political dictatorship and oppression of freedom rights which included criticism against President Ferdinand Marcos. Huge assembly area located beside EDSA and White Plains Road. The park is sufficient to gather 1,000 people not necessarily protesters but in another form of peaceful assembly. There is a plaque installed on the wall foretelling the 1986 People Power Revolution.

Needs some maintenance and cleaning. We should not forget to clean this space. Never again there should be dirt here. Came here to join #BikeRide day. It was a good day with the MMDA. Ride for more secure bike lanes!

Together with the more famous Edsa Shrine at the corner of Ortigas Avenue a few meters away, this monument is a key memorial to the miraculous 1986 People Power Movement that ousted a dictatorial regime.
