Visited on July 29 until July 31, 2022. My review is a 2.5 but I can't do a .5 so a 2 will do.
The sand is fine and feels great on my toes. The food stalls nearby are subpar, surprisingly there is only one stall that does cocktails. The karaoke is way too loud, considering how close all the stalls are.
With a few drinks and a good meal, the karaoke does cease to annoy me. The meals are delicious and each order feeds a couple and maybe a small child. It lacks variety though, as every food stall sells about the same thing.
There is a business that does snorkelling, and diving services which will add to your experience! The view is gorgeous and there is no entrance fee, however, the beach is littered with trash. It is by a river and gets flooded with human trash. During the high tide, the trash gets pushed up to the shore. It is an ugly sight.
It is also unpleasant to swim amongst so much filth. They do make an effort to clean it up after the high tide. They push the trash in the corner and so the shore looks beautiful but it still gets washed back during the high tide. If it were cleaned more, it would be a more enjoyable experience.

There were store being built around which is 24 hours open and services in the area is getting better also. Every morning, there are locals who is cleaning the beach front but they are not actually cleaning the whole beach front but this is a public beach so you have to expect that there are a LOT of people.
The only negative thing I saw was the tent who is placed beside us and saying that it is reserved for their guests. Like? How can it be? They don't own the beach and it's a PUBLIC BEACH! It's actually a big space so many of the travelers or visitors can put their tents.
I hope this place will be preserve because this is the...

Two or three gulls come and eat them. I arrived at 9:30 in the morning which was still high tide, so the strip of white sand was very narrow and there was plenty of sea weed in the water. Four stars because there are some plastic wrappers on the beach close to the inns. I still went for a swim after finding a clear sea weed free spot. Enjoyed my stay in Camotes...
