✔️Scenic Cliff and Swimming Experience

I recently visited Pitogo Cliff that offer thrill and adventure, and I wanted to share my experience. The entrance fee is just 30 pesos, which is quite affordable for such a scenic location. Upon arrival, there’s a souvenir and snack shop where you can grab a bite or pick up a memento. There's also a coffee stall for those who want to enjoy a warm drink while taking in the view.

For those planning to swim, there are local men offering life vests for rent at 100 pesos each. It’s a small fee for the added safety, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the area or not an experienced swimmer. The water during our visit was calm and clear, and the cliffside jump was safe, but I’d recommend always having someone with you for added security.

The most unique experience here, however, was the photo ops. There are men who know exactly where to position you on the cliff for the best angles. The photo service is based on donations, but be prepared to wait in line as others are also eager to capture the perfect shot.

Another fun option for photography is drone shots, though I forgot to take note of the rate. Regardless, this is a great way to get a unique perspective of the location.

On the day I visited, none of the guides were swimming, so I’m not sure if that’s the usual scenario, but the sea was calm enough that we felt confident jumping. I’d definitely recommend taking the plunge, but just be cautious and ensure you’re not alone, there’s a bamboo ladder beside the cliff so you can jump multiple times or climb down to the sea if you don’t want to jump (harder compared to jumping 😅)

Overall, this is a wonderful spot for a quick getaway with beautiful views, a bit of adventure, and plenty of opportunities for...

Pitogo Cliff: A Photographer's Paradise, But Be Prepared for Crowds (Jan 14, 2025)

Pitogo Cliff is undeniably stunning, offering breathtaking views perfect for capturing unforgettable photos. The picturesque setting makes it a prime location for a photoshoot, and the opportunity to swim at the base of the cliff adds a unique element. However, the limited space at the bottom of the cliff significantly impacts the overall experience, especially for larger groups. Expect potential delays, as the area can only accommodate a few people at a time. We waited almost an hour to descend, and I've heard stories of waits exceeding two hours! Going early in the day is highly recommended to avoid long queues.

While the wait can be frustrating, the payoff is worth it. The views are truly spectacular, and the drone services offered by the locals is a fantastic way to capture the beauty of the location from a unique perspective. The resulting photos and videos are guaranteed to be amazing. Just be aware that weekends bring significantly larger crowds, so plan accordingly.

Overall, Pitogo Cliff is a great spot for picture-taking and short swims, but don't expect a wide range of activities. The limited space and potential for long waits hold it back from a higher rating. My...

Pitogo Cliffs in Siquijor is a tourist spot that promises stunning views. With its jaw-dropping landscapes, this spot is a must-visit for anyone looking to soak in the natural beauty of the island.

However, a word to the wise: if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle, it’s best to plan your visit during non-peak hours. Arriving early in the morning or later in the afternoon can help you dodge the crowds, especially around the popular hours of 9 AM and beyond when tourists flock to capture the spectacular scenery.

Once you're there, get ready for some Insta-worthy shots! Pitogo Cliffs offers photography and videography services, but keep in mind that there may be a queue for these—so patience is key. But trust me, the wait is worth it to have stunning photos of you and your crew against the backdrop of those breathtaking views.

The cliffs not only provide an ideal setting for memorable photos but also allow you to enjoy the tranquility of the sea and the vast expanse of the horizon. Whether you’re there for a leisurely day of exploration or aiming to capture the perfect shot, Pitogo Cliffs is sure to leave you with unforgettable memories of Siquijor’s natural beauty! So grab your camera and prepare to be awed—just be ready to share those views with other nature...
